We collect information in two ways: information you provide directly, and information collected automatically.
Information you provide directly includes: your name, email address, phone number, city and state, and the nature of your real estate need (buying, selling, or both) when you submit a referral request. For agents joining our network, we also collect your brokerage name, real estate license number and state, years of experience, service areas, specialties, and payment information processed through Stripe.
Information collected automatically includes standard web server logs such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and the date and time of your visit. We may also use cookies or similar technologies to improve your experience on our site.
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
To match buyers and sellers with qualified agents in our network — this is the core purpose of our service. Your contact information and real estate needs are shared with the agent we select for your referral.
To communicate with you about your referral request, including confirmation emails and follow-up if needed.
To process agent membership payments and maintain agent profiles in our network.
To improve our website and service based on usage patterns and feedback.
To comply with applicable laws and regulations, including Texas real estate licensing requirements.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
We share your information only in the following circumstances:
With the matched agent: When we match you with an agent, we share your name, phone number, email address, and the details of your real estate need with that agent so they can contact you directly.
With service providers: We use Stripe to process payments. Stripe's privacy policy governs how they handle your payment information. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.
With our email service provider: We use a third-party email service to send confirmation and notification emails. These providers are contractually prohibited from using your information for their own purposes.
As required by law: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or the safety of others.
In a business transfer: If Jon Baker Realty LLC is acquired, merged, or its assets are transferred, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We retain consumer referral information (name, contact details, and real estate need) for up to two years after your initial submission, or until you request deletion, whichever comes first. This retention period allows us to follow up on referrals that may take time to close.
Agent profile information is retained for as long as the agent maintains an active profile in our network, and for up to three years after account closure for business record-keeping purposes.
You may request deletion of your information at any time by contacting us at the address below.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. All payment processing is handled by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS compliant. Our website uses HTTPS encryption for all data in transit.
However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Our service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 18, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete that information.
